The upstream raw materials of Fluorescent brightener CBS-127 are biphenyl dichlorobenzyl and o-methoxybenzaldehyde, and trimethyl phosphite. The trimethyl phosphite of the Fluorescent brightener CBS-127 plays an important role.


The  manufacturing process of the Fluorescent brightener CBS-127 is divided into two steps: esterification and condensation.


The first is the phosphonate reaction of biphenyl dichlorobenzyl and trimethyl phosphite. The optimal temperature for this process is 140-150 degrees. The reaction is two hours, and 4,4-bis(dimethoxy) is washed with methanol. Phosphonomethyl) biphenyl.


In the second step, methoxybenzaldehyde undergoes a condensation reaction. The o-methoxybenzaldehyde and 4,4-bis(dimethoxyphosphonomethyl)biphenyl react with potassium hydroxide at a temperature of 50 degrees.
